Privacy Policy

DailyPractice Preschool (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your family's privacy. This policy explains how we handle data for children aged 2.5–6 and their parents.

1. Data We Collect

Parent account: Name, email, phone number, language preference.
Child profile: First name, date of birth, age level, curriculum level.
Learning activity data: Activity results (accuracy, independence, engagement), practice sessions, streak data, Panchkosha progress scores.
Media uploads: Photos and short videos (max 30 sec) uploaded by parents for portfolio and Hands-On submissions.
Device information: Device type, OS version, app version — for debugging and compatibility only.

2. How We Use Your Data

Deliver personalised learning experiences based on your child's developmental level across 12 domains.
Generate Panchkosha progress reports and NCF-FS aligned developmental insights.
Send transactional emails such as welcome messages, password resets, and payment receipts.
Improve our curriculum and adaptive engine through anonymised, aggregated analytics.

3. Children's Data Protection

No face recognition. We never use facial recognition technology on children's photos or videos. Ever.
No child rankings. Children are never ranked or compared against each other. All recognition is effort-based.
No third-party advertising. We do not show ads to children or sell data to advertisers.
No AI profiling of children. Our adaptive engine uses simple rule-based logic, not machine learning or AI models trained on your child's data.
Creative work is never scored. Art, drawing, and imagination activities are celebrated — never graded on accuracy.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is processed and stored exclusively in India (AWS Mumbai region, ap-south-1).
Media uploads are stored in encrypted S3 buckets with no public access. Uploaded files are auto-compressed; originals are deleted after processing.
All API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
Uploaded photos and videos are moderated for safety before being stored.

5. Data Ownership & Portability

Data belongs to the child. Parents have full ownership and control over their child's learning data and media.
Default visibility of all uploads is private (parent-only). Sharing requires explicit opt-in.
Two separate opt-in toggles: portfolio sharing and anonymised research participation. Both are off by default.
You may request a full export of your child's data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Active account data is retained as long as your subscription is active.
Upon account closure, data is retained for 5 years (for developmental continuity if you return), then permanently deleted.
You may request immediate deletion of all data at any time. We will process this within 30 days.

7. DPDP Act 2023 Compliance

DailyPractice Preschool is fully compliant with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). As a platform serving children under 18, we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any child data. Parents act as the lawful guardian and data principal for their child's information.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies only (authentication tokens, session management). We do not use third-party tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or behavioural advertising tools.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you via email and in-app notification before any material changes to this policy take effect. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
